2022-2023 Adult Competition Series:

The U.S Figure Skating Adult Competition Series is open to adult and young adult skaters in the Adult 1 through Adult Bronze levels in the Eastern, Midwestern, and Pacific Coast sections.

Participants in the Adult Competition Series compete in both the free skate and compulsory events in at least two participating Compete USA and non-qualifying competitions, one being the non-qualifying competition held in conjunction with their Adult Sectional Championships.

Athletes receive points based on their placement and the number of competitors in each event. These points are used to determine final series winners within each section. Sectional series awards are presented at the non-qualifying competition held in conjunction with each Adult Sectional Championships.

The mission of this program is to provide a meaningful series of events to encourage skaters in the Adult 1 through Adult Bronze levels to enjoy a fun, yet competitive environment where they can experience the community of adult skating. The Adult Competition Series supports the growth of adult competitive opportunities at the grassroots level. And, it improves the financial viability of the Adult Sectional Championships and other competitions that include events for adult athletes.

To enter the series, or for more information, please see the USFS website: https://www.usfigureskating.org/skate/skating-opportunities/adult-skating

Location:

All events were held at the:

Atlanta Ice Forum
2300 Satellite Boulevard
Duluth, GA 30097
(770) 813-1010

This rink was the official practice facility for the 2004 US Figure Skating Championships,
and where most of the "I, Tonya" movie was filmed.

The rink is a climate-controlled facility with a double ice surface, each measuring 200' by 85', with rounded corners and a hockey barrier.

Duluth, GA does not have a full service airport, so the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) would be the preferred one if you must fly into the area.

A taxi ride would be pretty expensive. There are shuttles from the airport to the Duluth/Gwinnett area.  And, there is Uber and Lyft.

Public Transportation is another option. You would take the MARTA train from the airport to the Doraville station on the Gold Line, and then catch a bus on Route 10 of the Gwinnett County Transit system. There is a bus stop just in front of the La Quinta hotel-at the corner of Satellite Blvd and Stephens.
