The Georgia Figure Skating Club has new Club Jackets for 2010! We have the order forms ready for the club jackets. Just click here for info and the forms.
The club is collecting donations for the expense for Holly Faris, one of our skaters. She has been ill with renal failure, kidney failure and chronic pain for the past 2 years. If you would like to donate to assist her mother in paying her medical bills, please click here. Lori is overjoyed with the outpouring of the donations to date. She has written the following thank you to the members that have donated: Thank You We are still taking donations, and will for quite a while. Anytime that you would like to donate, please do.

The 2009 US Adult Figure Skating Championships
were held from April 23-25 in Grand Rapids, MI. The following
skaters represented the club at the event:

Davin Grindstaff won the Championship Masters Mens Junior/Senior event at the 2009 Eastern Adult Championships. This qualifies Davin to compete in the Championship Masters Junior/Senior event at the US Adult Figure Skating Championships in Grand Rapids, MI April 21-26. Results at CCFSC Results at IceNetwork
Yoniko "Tina" Washington has been chosen to represent India at the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles, CA from March 23-29. Tina is 16 and lives with her family in Duluth, GA. She trains at the Atlanta IceForum in Duluth and is coached by Aren Nielsen, Kaysi Kitsell, and Graham Payne. She has been a member of the Georgia Figure Skating Club and US Figure Skating since 2002.

The Southern Interclub Skating Council was reformed in 2006. Newsletters and Officers are available on the SICSC page.
The GaFSC now has a Yahoo! Group for its members. We have a calendar of events, files, and we can send out messages to our members. However, you do have to join the group to receive the emails.
